While the FIRE Pig Performance Testing Feeder can be used as a stand-alone ad-lib feeder, adding an optional protective race reduces the chance that dominate animals may produce atypical testing results. Protective races for the FIRE Feeder help simulate commercial multi-opening feeders more accurately.

The Osborne ACCU-ARM Weigh Race for FIRE Feeders is a full body race with an integrated animal scale. Daily median weights, weight gain, and feed-to-gain efficiencies can be measured daily or averaged over time.

Like all of Osborne’s ACCU-ARM weigh scales, the sensitive load cell is suspended above the scale, kept safely away from animals and debris. Recently improved anchor and tilt brackets allow for tipping the scale in any direction for easy cleaning underneath.
