How it Works
Plastic and galvanized steel flooring for nursery and farrowing buildings provide options to customize your buildings to your specific pig farming equipment requirements.
Interlocking plastic flooring provides firm support for growing animals’ legs and feet. The plastic composition naturally feels warmer to growing animals, which is especially important for nursery pigs.
Galvanized steel flooring features no woven wire, which often rusts early due to hard water and manure buildup. Unique bar spacing pattern lessens or eliminates leg issues. Custom-designed recessed areas allow for installation of Osborne’s Stanfield® Heat Pads, making the pads flush with the rest of the room. In farrowing, a two-piece self-supporting cast iron system under the sow provides stability and sure footing.
