Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I calibrate the E500R-Series Digital Meter with my scale?
Calibrating the E500R Digital Meter is easy. Reference the instruction manual that comes with the meter for complete calibration instructions. A known weight (recommended minimum 50 lbs.) is required for calibration. - The E500R-Series Digital Meter includes three (3) operating modes. Which mode should I use when I weigh my animals?
The three (3) operating modes of the E500R-Series Digital Meter include: Scale 1, Scale 2, and Direct. Scale 1 mode is factory programmed to work with any Osborne ACCU-ARM portable scale. Scale 2 mode is user programmable. The Direct Scale mode provides the capability of measuring direct weights up to 50 lbs. - The E500R-Series Digital Meter “freezes” an animal weight that is not accurate. What do I do to ensure the Digital Meter displays the correct weight?
The E500R “freezes” on the correct weight after an adjustable “sampling” interval of each load or animal. If the unit displays a weight known to be incorrect, simply press the read button again to reweigh the animal. After unloading the animal, the meter will automatically re-zero before the next animal is weighed.
