Heat Mats
Osborne’s Stanfield heat mats were the first electric, under-body heating pads developed for newborn livestock animals back when farmers had only dangerous and inefficient heat lamps to rely on. Today, Stanfield heat mats continue to be the safest and most reliable supplemental heat source for a variety of species all around the world. Whether your raise pigs, dogs, or even exotic animals, investing in a Stanfield heating mat will provide your animals with years of safe and efficient heat where it is needed most.
About
Stanfield heat mats provide safe and gentle supplemental heat for newborn and growing livestock animals, pets, and exotic animals like tortoises, lizards, and more. Operating at a steady temperature rise above ambient temperature, these electric heat pads are designed to promote healthy growth, reduce stress, and provide the optimal growing environment to newborn and growing animals.
Although heat mats are the safe and economical alternative to heat lamps, they're not all the same: Osborne's engineered abrasion-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced composites fully encapsulate a low-temperature, double-insulated heating element, making them far superior to cheap and less reliable poly mats. And, Stanfield heat mats have earned more electrical safety certifications than any other brand (including UL, CSA, CE, IEC, and PSE). They are simply the safest, under-body electric heating mats in the world.
Join Osborne's thousands of satisfied customers — and hundreds of thousands of warm, healthy animals all over the world — by choosing Stanfield heat mats for your most important animals.
Stanfield Farrowing Heat Mats
Create a perfect microclimate for newborn pigs with Stanfield farrowing heat pads. At full power, these mats provide a uniformly-warm surface approximately 30-35° F (16-20° C) above air temperature. This creates a 90-100° F (32-38° C) resting surface in an otherwise cool farrowing house. Prevent chilling drafts and keep baby pigs safely away from the sow to prevent crush losses and ensure all their energy is used for growth, not warmth.
Stanfield Nursery Heat Mats
Osborne's nursery heat pads reduce weaning stress, promote healthful rest, keep natural immune systems at their peak, and increase growth rates of nursery animals by putting heat where it is needed most. Operating at 20-25° F (11-14° C) above air temperature at full power creates an attractive resting area, while uniform heat distribution helps reduce "piling" of animals.
Controls & Accessories
Protect both heat mats and animals with controls and accessories that increase longevity and improve operating efficiency. A full line of power controls are available ranging from a single-mat rheostat to a feature-loaded automatic control with temperature-ramping capabilities for whole rooms of mats.
